A series of dances and songs imbued with traditional Cambodian culture opened the Cambodian Culture Week in Vietnam on December 18.
The launching ceremony in the southern province of Ben Tre saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien and Undersecretary of State at the Cambodia Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts Kong Kantara.
The event aims to bring the unique culture of Cambodia to Vietnamese people and enhance the cultural exchanges between the two countries.
It also seeks to promote the traditional solidarity and friendship between Vietnamese and Cambodian peoples.
The week is running in Ben Tre and Soc Trang provinces until December 23.-VNA
