Cambodia’s foreign trade reached 16.61 billion USD in the January-November period, up 16 percent year on year, according to the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce.
The country earned 7.05 billion USD from exports in the period, a 12-percent year-on-year-increase while spending over 10 billion USD on imports, up 19 percent.
Cambodia mainly shipped garments, footwear, agricultural products and woodwork meanwhile it bought garment and footwear materials, machines and equipment.
Cambodia’s main trading partners are the US, the EU, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
A senior advisor of the Cambodian Economic Advisory Council, Mi Kolran said the country may achieve 19.25 billion USD in foreign trade turnover this year, an 18 percent rise compared to 2013.-VNA
