Public security personnels participate in incense offerings and candle lighting ceremonies. On July 25, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Party, State and people always pay attention to affairs relating to war invalids and sick soldiers, as reflected through pragmatic activities, including the search and gathering of remains and identification of martyrs. In 2013, a project to search for and gather soldiers' remains was approved, under which genetic testing has been utilised, the leader said, noting that 1,389 martyrs have been identified by DNA testing over the past 10 years. He assigned the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to coordinate with relevant units to establish a national database on martyrs, thus better serving the DNA testing. On the evening of the same day, similar events were held in ceremonies and memorials in nearly 100 cemeteries in 30 districts in the city.
