The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on September 21 urged the Washington administration to abide by the UN’s resolution to end the hostile policy against Cuba.
The Secretariat of CARICOM at the 3 rd Cuba-CARICOM ministerial meeting held in Havana last week, said that the foreign ministers of member countries had raised their voice to protest the US’s embargo, reaffirming their views to strengthen cooperation with Cuba, especially in healthcare, human resources training and disaster prevention.
The member countries of CARICOM also confirmed the need to promote cooperation, solidarity and integration between Latin American countries and the Caribbean.
Established in 1958, CARICOM comprises 16 member countries and 11 observers, and aims to promote economic cooperation, strengthen socio-economic relationships and cooperation in education, culture and industry between member countries./.
