Vietnam’s top chess player Le Quang Liem has dropped two places to the 29th position on the latest ranking by the World Chess Federation’s (FIDE) compared to early April.
The International Grand Master now has an Elo of 2714.
At the national rapid-blitz chess tournament that concluded on May 3, Liem was crowned the winner in the rapid event but came only second in blitz-chess.
He is scheduled to attend the Asian Championships slated for May 17-27 in Manila, the Philippines.-VNA
