China-ASEAN Expo concludes with new record of signed deals

The 19th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) wrapped up in the Chinese city of Nanning, Guangxi, on September 19 with a new record of deals signed.

Hanoi (VNA) – The 19th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO)wrapped up in the Chinese city of Nanning, Guangxi, on September 19 with a newrecord of deals signed.

Wei Zhaohui, Secretary General of the CAEXPO Secretariat,said that 267 international and domestic cooperation projects were signed atthe expo this year, with a total investment value of more than 400 billionyuan (57 billion USD), up 37% from the previous year.

The 19th CAEXPO featured 88 economic and trade events held in-personand virtually. They covered a wide range of areas, including high-end metal newmaterials, healthcare, culture-tourism, green chemical materials and mechanicalmanufacturing.

The exhibition area reached 102,000 sq.m this year. A totalof 1,653 exhibitors from 40 countries and territories took part in the event whichwelcomed around 25,600 visitors daily, a year-on-year increase of 19.2%.

Launched in 2004, CAEXPO has become a major event paving theway for enterprises from ASEAN member states to gain access to the Chinesemarket./.

Indonesia’s meat industry faces risk of mass layoffs

The Indonesian Meat Entrepreneurs and Processors Association (APPDI) said the total beef import quota for private companies this year has been cut to 30,000 tonnes, down sharply from 180,000 tonnes in 2025.
