China-ASEAN expo sees major transaction

The eighth China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO-2011) in Nanning city, China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has seen a 5.6 percent increase in trade transactions to 1.8 million USD compared to the previous event.
The eighth China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO-2011) in Nanning city, China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has seen a 5.6 percent increase in trade transactions to 1.8 million USD compared to the previous event.

During the six-day expo, which ended on Oct. 26, 105 international economic agreements were also signed, with total value up 10.9 percent from last year's expo to 7.4 billion USD, according to Zheng Junjian, secretary-general of the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat.

Themed "environmental protection cooperation", CAEXPO-2011 drew 3,000 enterprises from member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and China as well as a number of other countries and territories, displaying their products at 4,600 booths.

With 192 booths, 120 Vietnamese businesses displayed farm and food processing products, furniture, fine art items, consumer goods, tourism products and trade services./.
