Fang Fenghui, chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, was reported to make the remarks in Beijing during his talks with visiting Indonesian military chief Moeldoko.

Since the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2013, the two countries witnessed sound communication among their high-level officials, joint exercises and personnel training, Fang said.

China is ready to work with Indonesia to enhance strategic communication, maritime cooperation and joint drills against terrorism, as well as to partner within a multilateral framework to maintain regional peace and stability and foster a sound security environment since stability and development become a shared aspiration, he added.

Moeldoko agreed that the two countries have great potential for cooperation and showed willingness to maintain close communication and coordination with China to cement practical cooperation and military-to-military ties./.
