Chinese company to build monorail in Indonesia

The China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC), together with Indonesia’s Panghegar Group, will fund a 992 million USD project to build a monorail system in Indonesia’s West Java province.
The China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC),together with Indonesia’s Panghegar Group, will fund a 992 million USDproject to build a monorail system in Indonesia’s West Java province.

The West Java provincial administration and CMC recently signeda Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the project, which aims atdeveloping transportation in Greater Bandung, including Bandung cityand five regencies and cities around Bandung city.

The MoU alsomentioned cooperation in drafting the Greater Bandung Metropolitanmaster plan, drawing up the feasibility study for the monorailconstruction, conducting environmental analysis and engineering designdetails for the project.-VNA

Thailand offers new incentives to support SMEs

One key measure to support Thai entrepreneurs is an increase in the corporate income tax (CIT) benefits granted to BOI-promoted SMEs, which will now receive a five-year CIT exemption equal to as much as 100% of their investment in enhancing their capabilities and improvements, up from the previous three-year CIT exemption capped at 50% of investment.
