Hanoi (VNA) - World cup winning former French football star, Christian Karembeu, will arrive in Vietnam to meet Vietnamese fans at the Hoa Lu Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on December 23.
He will be in the city for a live broadcast of the El Clásico game between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
At the event, Karembeu and commentators of the K cable TV channel will analyse and give a commentary on the El Clásico game. A 500-inch projector screen will be installed at the stadium for a live broadcast of the match.
The Spanish La Liga’s organising board selected Vietnam as one of seven countries to bring its ambassador to meet fans.
The other six countries are Japan, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia and India, as well as China and Kenya.
The 47-year-old retired international footballer won the Champions League with Real Madrid in 1998 and 2000. -VNA
