Cold front lingering in upper Thailand

The Meteorological Department has advised people to keep themselves warm as the temperature in the upper part of the country will drop by another 1-2 degrees Celsius.

On the mountain tops, the mercury will drop to as low as 5-10 degrees Celsius. The upper North will see the temperature dropping to around 13-17 degrees Celsius.

The temperature could decrease to 11 degrees Celsius in the northeastern region, with the lowest predicted to be as low as 6 degrees Celsius on the mountain tops.

It is going to be a little warmer in the Central Plains, where the morning temperature is forecast to be around 16-18 degrees Celsius.

The weather conditions in the eastern coast remain unchanged. Scattered rain will be seen in Nakhon Si Thammarat and provinces below. Waves could reach as high as 2 metres on both sides of the southern peninsula.-VNA/NNT
