The No. 8 Rhapsody concert, themed Les Miserables , part ofthe “I Dreamed a Dream” series, will raise funds for children withcleft lips and cleft palates, according to Tuoi tre (Youth) online.
The concert, to be held at 7:30 pm on April 27 and 28at Cong Nhan (Workers) Theatre in Hanoi, will see performances by theRhapsody Philharmonic of famous movie tracks, such as ‘Skyfall,’ ‘I Havea Dream,’ ‘My Heart Will Go On,’ and ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight.’
The show, also featuring beauty queen Duong Tu Anh, theprogramme ambassador, will put up a number of items for auction, such asCDs featuring local celebrities' autographs and wooden, gem-studdeddolls.
Tickets are sold for 500,000 VND (25 USD) forthe April 27 show, 200,000 VND (9.5 USD) for students and 300,000 VND(14.3 USD) for the April 28 show.
The RhapsodyPhilharmonic was founded in late 2010 by drummer Nguyen Hung Cuong andhis friend Luu Quang Minh. Its 70 members perform on a regular basis.
The organisers of the series ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ also held two street concerts on April 13 and 20 in Hanoi.-VNA
