Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on January 28 sent a message of congratulations to Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene on being approved asPrime Minister of Mongolia by the country’s Parliament.
Vietnam and Mongolia established diplomatic ties on November 17, 1954. Over thepast 67 years, the two countries’ friendship and cooperation have seen newsteps of development with achievements in such fields as politics, economy, education,culture and people-to-people exchange.
Vietnam and Mongolia have closely cooperated at international and regionalforums that they are members, contributing to maintaining peace regional and internationalstability./.
In implementing the Party and State’s open foreign policy and with a desire to enhance professional cooperation in the new context, the Vietnam News Agency and Mongolia’s Montsame News Agency signed a cooperation agreement on July 19, 2001. The two agencies have since had regular information exchanges and offered assistance when reporters of one are working in the other.
Preparation for negotiations on a free trade agreement (FTA) between Cambodia and Mongolia has been kick-started in the first inter-ministerial meeting engaging the working group tasked for the negotiations, Cambodia's news agency AKP reported on October 1.
Vietnam and Mongolia on December 9 agreed on specific measures and orientations to consolidate and enhance their traditional friendship and cooperation in the time ahead.
