Procter & Gamble Vietnam Ltd (P&G Vietnam) has broken ground on the Gillette plant at VSIP II park in Tan Uyen district, the southern province of Binh Duong on March 26.
The eight-hectare plant is projected to cost over 100 million USD, applying state-of-the-art technology in razor production to provide products for domestic and regional markets.
Gillette plant is part of the long-term plan on building sustainable facilities to supply P&G products in Vietnamese and Asian markets, said Hatsunori Kiriyama, President of P&G in the Asian-Pacific region.
At the event, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Nam affirmed that P&G Vietnam has made proactive contributions to local socio-economic development in recent years.
