A cotton yarn mill was put into operation in the southern province of Binh Duong on May 10 after more than 10 months of construction on the first phase of the facility.
The initial phase received 40 million USD of investment from Kyungbang Vietnam Limited Liability Company under the Kyungbang Group, one of the leading yarn and fabric manufacturers in the Republic of Korea .
Located in Bau Bang industrial zone in Ben Cat district, the 25,920-spindle mill is equipped with Swiss and German equipment and can produce 6,600 tonnes of yarn per annum, serving the garment and textile industry, one of the country’s leading foreign currency earners.
When the plant is extended in its second and third phase (with registered investment of 160 million USD), it is expected to be the largest mill in Asia, said Kim Joon, General Director of Kyungbang Group.-VNA
