Vietnam and Laos launched their ‘Cultural Days’ in each other’s countries on July 17 as part of activities to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties and 35 years of the signing of the bilateral Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation.
These cultural activities reflect the close solidarity and fraternity as well as further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, said Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Khanh Hai and Lao Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Buangeun Sapouvong at the opening ceremony of Laos’ ‘Cultural Days’ in Hanoi.
On the same day, as part of the on-going third Vietnam-Laos People’s Friendship Festival in Hanoi, the Vietnamese and Lao delegates shared their experience in conducting friendship activities.
The delegates also paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum and met with representatives of the Vietnamese Ministries and National Defence and Public Security.-VNA
