Cultural Heritage Day helps spread Vietnam’s image to the world
On February 24, 2005, the Prime Minister signed Decision No 36/2005/-TTg on adopting November 23 every year as “Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day”. The move aims to promote the traditions and sense of responsibility among those working to protect and promote the value of Vietnam’s cultural heritage.

On July 3, 2003, the World Heritage Committee under the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) approved Vietnam's submission to recognise its Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park as a World Natural Heritage Site, with criteria of exceptional global value in terms of geology and geomorphology.
A scientific seminar on promoting the value of archaeological heritage and an exhibition entitled “From the Underground to the Museum: A Journey of Artifacts” have been held by Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre in Toulouse city of France.
The management board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter on November 18 kicked off a wide range of activities in the Old Quarter in the capital city to mark the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day which falls on November 23.
