Vang (Golden) Bridge, a famous tourist attraction in Da Nang city (Photo: VNA) Da Nang (VNA) –The central city of Da Nang is planning a myriad of New Year welcomingactivities to attract tourists, and they will be organised at an appropriatescale depending on the COVID-19 situation, a local official said on December 9.
The “Da Nang Festival – Welcome New Year 2021”programme, slated for December 30, 2020 to January 3, 2021, aims to helprevitalise tourism amid the new normal so as to ensure the twin targets ofpandemic control and socio-economic development, according to Director of themunicipal Tourism Department Truong Thi Hong Hanh.
She noted that apart from recent travel stimulusefforts, festivities held during the New Year holiday will also help advertiselocal culture, cuisine, and places of interest as well as create new tourismproducts so as to draw more visitors to the city.
The programme, to take place at the square ofthe Asia Park in Hai Chau district, will feature a wide range of activitieslike a cyclo parade, free night tours on the Han River, street music shows, andsinging and dancing performances with traditional musical instruments.
A noodle festival with typical noodle dishes ofVietnam and other countries, along with booths introducing Da Nang’sdelicacies, is also expected to add further to the city’s attractiveness./.
