The initiative, which asked Vietnamese children to paint their dreams, is part of a cultural exchange, themed “Denmark in your eyes”, to mark 46 years of Vietnam – Denmark diplomatic ties (November 25, 1971 - 2017).

Opening in last August, the contest attracted the participant of 800 school children, and prizes were awarded to 63. Do Khanh Linh, a third grader at the Thanh Hoa-based Le Van Tam primary school, seized the special prize consisting of a Canon camera and a Lego set.

She said she is happy that the event enables children to express their imagination.

President of the Vietnam – Denmark Friendship Association Tran Hong Ha said the painting competition and other music and art exchanges this year reflect the extent of the two countries’ relations, which cover not only trade-investment but also culture, education, and environment.-VNA
