Dengue fever cases in Laos increase

The Lao Ministry of Health has reported 30 more cases of dengue fever in recent days.

Vientiane (VNA) – The Lao Ministry of Health has reported 30 more cases ofdengue fever in recent days.

Atotal of 6,842 people have been diagnosed with the disease with 12 deathsrecorded, according to the Center of Information and Education for health underthe Ministry of Health.

Thehighest number of 1,586 dengue patients were reported in Lao capital Vientianewith four deaths, while 754 cases and two deaths were recorded in Bolikhamxay,and 681 cases in Bokeo province.

Laohealth authorities have urged people to clear potential mosquito breeding sitesaround their homes and workplaces to help control the spread of dengue fever./.
