As many as 202,300 enterprises were established and resumed operations in Vietnam in the first 10 months of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
There were 2,536 newly-established businesses in Ho Chi Minh City in January with a total newly registered capital of over 17.9 trillion VND (778 million USD), down 7.07% in volume and 38.03% in value year on year, reported the municipal People’s Committee.
As many as 59,800 businesses temporarily suspended or stopped their operations to await dissolution procedures and completed dissolution procedures in the first five months of 2021, up 23 percent year-on-year.
