A water factory belonging to t he RoK-invested Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Doosan Vina), based in the central province of Quang Ngai, on April 14 exported a 4,500 tonne salt water filter system to Saudi Arabia.
This is the fifth piece of equipment that the company has shipped to Saudi Arabia since it started its operations in 2009. It is also the first one provided to the country under a contract signed between the two sides in 2013.
Under the contract, Dossan Vina will manufacture four systems for filtering salt water for the country. The first one is 143 metres long and 34.4 metres wide. It is able to produce almost 95 million litres of clean water per day from seawater sources.
One completed and shipped to the country, all four systems are expected to create 377 million litres of clean water per day, meeting the demand of over 1 million Saudi Arabian people.
Dossan Vina has also shipped its products to Brazil, India and Egypt.-VNA
