The European Music Festival 2011 will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from November 17-28, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Troupes and bands from countries such as the UK, Belgium, Germany, Holland and Slovakia will participate in the event, presenting Jazz, pop, rock and world music.
German band “Ma’a lot Quintet” will open the festival with a chamber music programme in Ho Chi Minh City on Nov. 17 and in Hanoi on Nov. 18.
The European Music Festival is an annual event originating from the Jazz Music Festival in 2005. The festival receives a warm response from the Vietnamese public with thousands of audiences every year.
The event is co-organised by the Organisation Centre of Arts Performance under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Delegation of the European Committee in Vietnam and EU member embassies./.
