Hanoi (VNA) – Towards the 68th traditional day of theelectricity sector (December 21), the Vietnam Electricity (EVN) is carrying outa lot of activities to honour its customers.

Specifically, this year’s EVN Customer Gratitude Month Programme is taking place in November and December, targeting all of the group’s customers, particularly businesses, to help them use electricity safely, economically and effectively.

In addition, during the same period, units under EVN are also expected to organize some specific social security activities depending on the conditions of each unit and the situation in each locality.

The group focuseson ensuring safe and stable electricity supply and improving customer service quality; and provide free support and checks of the power system to ensure the safe and effective use.

The EVN also provides free installation of electric meters and cleaning of transformer stations for businesses.

It also plans to provide assistance for poor households, policy beneficiaries and lonely old people.

Other activities include repairing and installing new electricity systems for poor households and policy families; working closely with the locality Provincial Youth Union in implementing the program "Light up the countryside" in the area and organizing the 8th "EVN Pink Week" humanitarian blood donation program in many provinces and cities by EVN's employees and units participating in blood donation.

The group also plan to implement programmes and policies to encourage customers to install customer service applications, participate in online payments, online electricity services, switch notifications receiving to Internet channels such as Customer Service App/Email/Zalo, etc.; and coordinate with banks, payment intermediaries and partner units to jointly implement customer care activities.

The Customer Gratitude Month programme has been enthusiastically participated by units throughout the Electriciy of Vietnam for the past eight years despite some dificulties.

Typically in the past year 2021, despite being greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Electricity of Vietnam and its member units’ staff and employees still made great efforts to carry out many items such as repairing and installing new electrical systems for more than 6,000 poor households, more than 246 hospitals, medical and sanitation facilities; meter installation of and substation cleaning for free for over 3000 businesses; the "Light up the countryside" program with hundreds of kilometers of roads, over 2000 poles and works has been lit.

The organisation and implementation of the "Customer Gratitude Month" activities is a practical activity towards the 68th traditional day of the Power sector (December 21, 1954 - December 21, 2022)./.
