Exhibition fosters Vietnam-Australia ties

An exhibition on the cultural identity of Australia’s indigenous people kicked off on May 24 in Ho Chi Minh City as part of activities to mark the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Australia.

The event introduces 21paintings made of a variety of materials. The works demonstrate thecontemplation and viewpoints of 11 Aboriginal artists over the last 25years, providing an overview of a journey in which Australiancollectives and individuals seek ways to support the rights ofindigenous people and cultural expression.

Attendingthe exhibition, Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives AnnaBurke, who is on an official visit to Vietnam, said that theexhibition depicts the outstanding work of indigenous Australians.

The exhibition has toured the world over the past two years, receivinga warm response from international spectators. The 21 paintings will beon display at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum until mid Junethis year.-VNA

Hanoi gears up for 2025 international craft village festival
