An exhibition entitled “Sea, Islands and Naval Soldiers – The Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea” opened at the South East Region Armed Forces Museum in HCM City on Sept. 23.
An exhibition entitled “Sea, Islands and Naval Soldiers – The Ho ChiMinh Trail at Sea” opened at the South East Region Armed ForcesMuseum in HCM City on Sept. 23.

The eventis co-organised by the Navy’s Department of Politics and the Departmentof Politics of Military Zone 7 to mark the 66 th anniversary of thestart of the resistance war in the Southern region (Sept. 23) and the 50th anniversary of the launch of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea (Oct.23).

With over 200 documentary photographs, mapsand other items, the exhibition features courageous feats of Vietnamesenaval soldiers during the anti-US war, including those on unnumberedships on the legendary sea trail named after President Ho Chi Minh.

The Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea was established on October 23, 1961, as astrategic maritime route for transporting weapons and goods to thesouthern battlefields, making major contributions to the great victoryof 1975, when South Vietnam was liberated and the country reunified.

The exhibition also depicts the beauty, potential andstrategic positions held by Vietnam ’s sea and islands, especiallyTruong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelagos.

The dedication shared by naval soldiers and local people to overcomedifficulties and dangers to protect sovereignty over the country’s seaand islands as well as the strength of Vietnamese naval forces are alsoin the spotlight at the event.

The exhibition will continue until Sept. 24./.

VIRESA, FPT Online, Funtap cooperate to develop e-sport

Ha Long city gears up for festival-filled holidays

Ahead of the main celebration, the city will host various events starting April 29, including temple festivals, a lion dance showcase, culinary events such as the Beer and Grilled Squid Festival, and the 2025 Quang Ninh OCOP Summer Fair.
