Hanoi (VNA) – An exhibition on a roller coaster of emotion of an ordinary woman in Vietnam is underway at Vietnam Women’s Museum in Hanoi to mark the International Women’s Day (March 8).
The event, which opened on Mach 7, showcases 24 colour and black-and-white photos by Salvador Perez Arroyo, a Spanish artist and architect, of Huong Thi Cao, also known as Lily, a nonprofessional model, through her facial expressions. It reflects the mind and role of women in the society, especially the transfer of knowledge and value to their children.
The centerpiece of the exhibition is a portrait of Lily in Vietnamese traditional "Ao dai".
Arroyo has worked in Vietnam for 12 years, engaging in many architectural and cultural projects. One of his outstanding designs is the Quang Ninh Museum in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province.
In 2019, he published a photo book called "Happy Streets" and held a photo exhibition of the same name in Hanoi.
The exhibition will last until March 31./.
