Famous Singaporean pianist performs in Vietnam

Two concerts described as “Emperor’s Night” will take place in the Workers Theatre in Hanoi on May 4 and 5, featuring the acclaimed Singaporean pianist Lim Yan accompanying Vietnam’s National Symphony Orchestra.
Two concerts described as “Emperor’s Night” will take place in the Workers Theatre in Hanoi on May 4 and 5, featuring the acclaimed Singaporean pianist Lim Yan accompanying Vietnam’s National Symphony Orchestra.

The pianist will play the famous Emperor piano Concerto No. 5 by Ludwig van Beethoven. The concerts, conducted by Singaporean conductor Adrian Tan, will also include other well-known classical works such as Beethoven’s “Egmont” Overture and Mozart’s Symphony No. 40.

Lim Yan studied in England and has performed throughout Europe . Singapore ’s National Arts Council presented him with the Young Artists Award in October 2006./.
