French gastronomy will come into the spotlight with the screenings of documentary and feature films by young French directors during a film month scheduled for March 12-27 in Hanoi.

Hanoi, (VNA) - Frenchgastronomy will come into the spotlight with the screenings of documentaryand feature films by young French directors during a film month scheduled forMarch 12-27 in Hanoi.

The event is jointly organised by the French cultural centre L’Espaceand the Festival premiers plans d’Angers.

The event, which introduces the first films of talented directors anda series of interesting documentaries, promises to offer an exciting experienceto lovers of cinema and exquisite French food.

During the month, there will be a workshop where three directors - EmmanuelMorice, Nicolas Thomä and Hubert Charuel - will discuss the screened filmswith the audience as well as the topic of whether it is easy or difficult tomake your first film.

The films will be screened at the French cultural centre L’Espace at24 Trang Tien Street.-VNA

One of the clearest examples is Hieu Luc, a modest fish soup eatery on Hai Ba Trung Street in Hanoi, which has been included in the Michelin Selected category for the second consecutive year. At the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, delegates visited the Doan Mon Gate and learnt about the formation and development of the ancient capital through different historical periods at display spaces. One of the highlights was the presentation of complimentary Ao Dai to Czech residents and international visitors.
