The Cuban television presented a documentary film on Vietnam's latePresident Ho Chi Minh and Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro onAugust 13.
The film, entitled “Convergence,” retellsthe two late Presidents’ life and revolutionary cause and contributionsto the struggles for national independence and the world’s revolutionmovement.
“Convergence” was screened on the occasionof the 84 th birthday of Fidel Castro (August 13), the 65 thanniversary of Vietnam ’s Independence Day (Sept. 2) and 50 years ofVietnam-Cuba diplomatic ties.
Late Presidents Ho ChiMinh and Fidel Castro are not only the brilliant leaders of Vietnamand Cuba but also of the world, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Vu ChiCong affirmed at the film’s presentation.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Cuban people’s solidarity and friendship over the last 50 years.
Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Fredesman Turro Gonzales spoke highly ofVietnam ’s socio-economic achievements, asserting that the country ismaking efforts to build a more beautiful country as Uncle Ho’s wish.
The60-minute film was directed by Carlos Manuel and jointly produced byMundo Latino studio under the Communist Party of Cuba’s CentralCommittee and Vietnam ’s Ministry of Information and Communicationsin 2009./.
