The first group of Vietnamese nuclear experts arrived at Volgodonsk nuclear power plant in Russia ’s Saratov province on March 19 to take part in advanced practical training under a cooperation agreement.
Over their 18-month stay, they will be exposed to practices to sharpen their professional skills before returning to work at Vietnam ’s first nuclear power plant which is expected to be built in the central province of Ninh Thuan with Russian support.
The training is part of the agreement signed between Atomenergoproekt Company of Russia and Song Da Corporation of Vietnam in 2012. Accordingly, as many as 900 Vietnamese construction workers and engineers will participate in professional training courses at the Volgodonsk plant between 2013 and 2015.
The plant previously trained Bulgarian nuclear engineers and workers.-VNA
