Hanoi welcomed about 4.45 million foreign tourists in the first nine months of this year, soaring 40.8% year-on-year and nearly fulfilling its yearly target of serving 5 million international visitors, according to the city Department Tourism.

The silver jewelry craft thrived and became one of the four most distinguished trades in the Thang Long citadel.
After five years of joining the “UNESCO Creative Cities Network” under the category of design, Hanoi has organised numerous activities related to creative design, attracting a large number of organisations and individuals both at home and abroad.
In the light of history and national pride, October 10, 1954 became an indelible mark in the minds of the Vietnamese people. It was the day when Hanoi was liberated after being colonised for nearly a century.
With its unique geographic significance, Hanoi proudly stands as the place where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked the longest.
