HCM City (VNA) – The book and flower streets in Ho Chi Minh City are to be open to tourists at 5 p.m. on February 5, according to a representative from Saigontourist Travel Agency.
This year’s decorations on Nguyen Hue Flower Street will focus on facilitating the flow of walkers.
The book street has been decorated with the sea and island sovereignty markers, a historical documents exhibition and photos depicting the lives and work of late President Ho Chi Minh.
The Ho Chi Minh City Book Street officially opened on Nguyen Van Binh Street, District 1, on January 9, to promote reading.
The 144-metre pedestrian street features 20 book stalls and space for discussions and exchanges among publishers, authors and readers.
Areas are zoned for book and newspaper exhibitions, and the exchange of rare publications.
