They are in top fitness, having improved their stamina and upper-body strength after a training course at Lang Biang Mountain, Lam Dong province under the guide of German coach Gunter Lange and Uwe Freimuth. With such good preparations, experts hope that they will record dramatically improved results.

Top Vietnamese athletes will face strong rivals from China, the Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the hosts India .

As scheduled, the first round of the tournament will take place in Pune, India on June 1, the next round in Bangalore on June 5 and the final round in Chennai on June 9.
