A Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan is attending the 19 th International Conference on the Future of Asia that opened in Tokyo, Japan on May 23.
The conference, co- organised by the Nikkei newspaper and the Japan Centre for Economic Research (JCER), has drawn the participation of government leaders, representatives from businesses and international organsiations and scholars from regional countries.
Themed “Asia’s Search for Steps towards Stronger Ties and Integration”, the conference will discuss issues relating to economic integration and development, challenges to regional security in the context of new leaderships in a number of countries, including Japan, China and the Republic of Korea as well as rising tension in territorial disputes in the region.-VNA
