Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Gillian Bird affirmed that Australia highly values the dialogue framework, considering it an important platform for the two countries to spur cooperation in economic policymaking, especially amid global economic volatility.
Over the past 30 years, Vietnam has become an increasingly influential and active voice within ASEAN, and contributed a lot of ideas and initiatives to the bloc, said Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Gillian Bird.
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien stressed that the ministerial-level cooperation mechanisms between the two countries, including the ministerial-level dialogue on trade and the one on energy and minerals, play an important role in promoting multifaceted collaboration.
The elevation of bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Australia in March last year has laid a solid foundation for advancing and deepening bilateral cooperation; and served as a crucial basis for both countries to enhance their roles and contribute to stability and development in the Asia-Pacific region and the world.
