Vietnam’s economy will grow at 6.5 percent in 2017 and expand to 6.7 percent in 2018, according to the Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s “Asian Development Outlook 2017” report.
Vietnam’s GDP is expected to grow 6.6 percent in 2018, down slightly from 6.8 percent last year. The forecast was made by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Vietnam’s economic restructuring and growth model reform in 2016-2020 have been benefiting from positive changes in policies and achievements in the 2011-2015 period, according to economist Nguyen Dinh Cung.
There would be no success if no effort is made to renovate the mindset, actively build economic development methods, and reform mechanisms and policies, said Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung.
