Hanesbrands Vietnam, asubsidiary of the United States-based Hanesbrands Inc, opened its third15-million USD factory in Kim Dong district in northern Hung Yenprovince on November 21.
The new factory brings the company's total investment in Vietnam to 45 million USD.
Built on an area of 84,553 square metres, the new plant has recruited2,000 employees, and is expected to hire 5,500 to 6,000 local residentsonce it becomes fully operational.
With an annualmanufacturing capacity of more than 67 million products, the facilitywill focus on producing and processing garment products, especially brasand woven boxers, two new categories in Vietnam.
Entered the country since 2007, Hanesbrands Vietnam has set up twoproduction hubs in the northern Hung Yen and central Thua Thien-Hueprovinces, with a total capacity of producing 400 million products peryear.-VNA

Once completed, POSCO Future M's battery materials plant in Thai Nguyen province will have a designed capacity of 55,000 tonnes per year, serving as a key supplier of battery materials for leading electric vehicle manufacturers in the US, the EU and the Republic of Korea.
