Hanoi (VNA) – Festival-goers will be treated to specialties of the capital city whencoming to the 2023 Hanoi Culture and Food Festival scheduled for December 1-3 at the Thong Nhat Park.

According to the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, highlightsof the festival will be a space to introduce regional and internationalcuisine, an area featuring the dishes of typical handicraft trade villages ofHanoi and other localities.

Besides, festival-goers willhave a chance to take part in folk games, cultural, art and foodexchanges; seminars on human resources development to facilitate the foodindustry.

The three-day event aims at honouring, preserving and promoting traditionalcultural and cuisine values of the capital city while developing andeffectively tapping the brand name of Hanoi culture, food and tourism andintensifying business cooperation opportunities in the locality.

It is also a chance to popularise the image of the thousand-year-old capitalcity as a unique tourism, culture and fooddestination to both domestic and foreign visitors as well as bolsteringpeople-to-people exchanges and friendship between Hanoi and foreign embassiesbased in the locality.

Several activities will be held within the event's framework, including a photo exhibition onculture, tourism and cuisine of Vietnam and foreign countries such as Denmark,Venezuela, India, Iran, Panama, and a mobile book exhibition tointroduce cultural art, tourism and food of countries in the world./.

Vietnam's 35-strong squad announced for ASEAN U23 Championship 2025

The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.

Vinh Phuc to host international women's volleyball tournament

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
