Hanoi introduces 13 new heritage items

Hanoi(VNA) – As many as 13 national special heritages were introduced to the publicfor the first time in an exhibition held on November 22 in the Hanoi Museum onthe occasion of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

The exhibitionhighlighted 100 documents, items, and images of the 13 heritages in Hanoi. Itaimed to give visitors a better understanding of the value in the architecture,culture, history, and archeology of each heritage site, thus raising publicawareness of their conservation.

A number of other activitieswere also organised to mark the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, including folkart performances, exhibitions, and games.

The same day, theHanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting with peopleengaging in heritage preservation in the capital city, as well as experts inculture and heritage to call for their close coordination in the management,preservation, and promotion of the heritages’ values.

According to thedepartment, Hanoi is home to some 6,000 relic sites and 1,700 intangibleheritages. –VNA

Tet gifts, chung cake made for disadvantaged people

At sites such as the Temple of Literature, Hanoi’s Old Quarter and the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, night tours featuring creative lighting, immersive storytelling and extended reality (XR) applications have expanded visitors’ experiences and reimagined how heritage can be explored.
