Top Vietnamese bodybuilder Nguyen Thi My Linh has won a gold medal at the World Bodybuilding Championship in Bangkok , Thailand .
Linh, competing in the women's 52kg category, managed to palm another gold medal at the Asian Bodybuilding Championship, held in the same venue.
This was the third time that the 40-year-old has won the Asian gold medal, beating You Mi-hee of the Republic of Korea in the final. The HCM City-born athlete previously won the Asian gold medal in 2005-06 and a silver medal in 2007.
Earlier, Vietnam 's Pham Van Mach won a gold medal in the men's 55kg event.
