Over 200 businesses from several Asian countries and territories are showcasing their products at the fifth Vietnamese International Exhibition on Industrial Machinery, Equipment, Materials and Products (Vinamac) in Ho Chi Minh City from December 8.
The Expo has been jointly organised by the Vietnam Advertising and Fairs Exhibition Company (Vietfair) as well as various domestic and foreign organisations.
With 250 stands, the event exhibits machinery, associated equipment and many different technologies used in a wide range of areas from mining, construction, energy, packaging, the rubber and plastic industries to wood and paper processing.
During the Expo, there will be a number of seminars on steel industry, chemicals and pharmaceutical products used in agriculture and several smaller displays such as the fifth Vietnamese International Exhibition on the Chemicals Industry (Vinachem Expo 2010), the seventh Chinese Exhibition on the Chemicals Industry (Chinachem 2010), the Vietnamese International Coatings Exhibition (Vinacoating 2010) and the Vietnamese International Steel and Metalworking Expo (Isme Vietnam 2010).
Nguyen Van Ngan, the Director General of Vietfair, said that visitors will have the chance to access advanced machinery and facilities both at home and abroad, adding that a lot of contracts are expected to be reached during the Expo.
The event will run until December 11./.
