HCM City pledges to do its best for WEF on East Asia 2010

Under the government’s leadership, Ho Chi Minh City will do its utmost to bring the World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia 2010 to success.

Deputy Chairmanof the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Trung Tin made thecommitment at a meeting with a delegation from the WEF on March 11.

Tin said the city is proud to host the international event andexpressed the belief that this will be a good chance for the city tohighlight its potential and promote its image to the world.

At the meeting, Sushant Rao, WEF Director to Asia, stressed thehistoric significance of the event, as this will be the first time theforum takes place in a developing country.

Leaders of countries, international organisations and over 1,000 WEFmember businesses will attend the event scheduled to take place fromJune 6-7, said Rao./.
