Hanoi (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh City will host the International Fair on Environmentally Friendly Technologies 2016 (Ecotech Vietnam) which is scheduled for May 5-7.
According to the organising board, the event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the National Trade and Advertising Joint Stock Company (VINEXAD) among others.
The significant event is hoped to actively meet the national strategy and action on green growth.
Several areas will be introduced at the event such as environmental technologies, agriculture, food processing, industry, construction, traffic- transportation, and energy.
About 100 companies, including to foreign firms registered to attend the event as of February , according to the organising board.
Seminars and conferences are expected to be held during the three-day event.
With an average economic growth rate of over 6 percent a year, Vietnam is moving towards sustainable development targets through bolstering science and technology application research, as well as by receiving transfers of technology from advanced countries.-VNA
Vietnam, Denmark step up cooperation in food, green growth
