Fireworks will light up the sky of Ho Chi Minh City on September 2 to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of National Day.

HCM City (VNA) – Fireworks will light up the skyof Ho Chi Minh City on September 2 to celebrate the 73rd anniversary ofNational Day.

Fireworks will be set off from 9pm to 9:15pm from the roofof the Saigon River tunnel in District 2, and at Dam Sen Park in District 11.

On the occasion of the August Revolution (August 19) andNational Day (September 2), representatives of the municipal Party Committee,People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front will offer flowers and incense in tribute to Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Ton Duc Thang onSeptember 1 at their respective museums, as well as at President Ho Chi Minh’sstatue.

Besides this, a photo exhibition is scheduled to be opened on Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi streets on August 31.

Locals of and visitors to HCM City will also have a chanceto enjoy art performances on this occasion, together with an internationaltourism exhibition and a cycling tournament around the city, among otheractivities. –VNA
