Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has decided to organise fireworks displays at seven locations around the city on the Lunar New Year’s Eve, which falls on February 2, 2011.
Five locations will be for high-range fireworks shows while two others will feature low-range shows.
On the occasion, Nguyen Hue Flower Street themed “New Height” will open from January 31 to February 6 for the week-long Tet festival.
Other streets, including Le Loi, Dong Khoi, Le Duan and Chi Lang park, will be decorated with colourful magnificent lights.
On the occasion of the New Year on modern calendar, a programme themed “Welcome the moment of New Year 2011” will take place on December 31 night./.
