Under the plan, Ho Chi Minh City would receive foreign visitors in three phases.
In the first phase beginning from December 2021, the city will receive foreign travelers who come under packaged tours.
In the second phase from January 2022, the scope of the first phase will be expanded.
And for the third phase, the city will fully reopen its door to foreign tourists. The time for full reopening will be determined based on pandemic situation and results of the first two phases.
Along with Ho Chi Minh City, a number of other localities in Vietnam have also planned to reopen their doors to foreign travelers in the time to come, including Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, and Kien Giang./.
