Highway accident kills Dutch man

A 58-year-old Dutch man was killed and three other women were injured when a 16-seat passenger van crashed into a barrier and overturned on National Highway 1A in Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province.

The victims were all taken to Cam Ranh General Hospital for emergency treatment; however Rppeber Sgen Neijenhof died on the way due to brain trauma.

Other passengers including Ajide Jon (65), Mfchoppen (63), and Rpgall Ilra (62) only suffered slight injuries. They were transferred to Khanh Hoa General Hospital at their request.

The van, which is owned by the Nha Trang-based Asia Adventure Co. Ltd, was seriously damaged.

Local police are investigating the cause of the accident, while the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs will work with the Dutch Embassy in Vietnam to deal with issues related to the case.-VNA
