Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) –The Ho Chi Minh Museum in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on August 31 received 189 documents and objects on President Ho Chi Minh.
The documents and objects, which were donated by 15 individuals, also reflect the life of soldiers and residents in Thua Thien-Hue during the resistance war.
They include medals President Ho Chi Minh presented to Pham Ba Dien and Hoang Nhu Luyen in recognition of their bravery in fighting, along with a lacquer painting and a bronze relief depicting the beloved President, among others.
On August 29, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi also held a ceremony to receive 80 memorabilia relating to the late President, including the red neckerchief President Ho Chi Minh gave to Dinh Ngoc Thi in 1966, who served as head of the Young Bamboo Shoots Duy Vien Co-operative, a group of Young Pioneers founded in 1958.
Other objects are a pistol the President granted to Health Minister Hoang Tich Tri (1903 - 1958), four letters President Ho Chi Minh sent to the Minister, and a painting of President Ho Chi Minh by Bulgarian painter Stefan Petrov in 1957.
These documents and objects were handed over the museums on the occasion of the 73rd National Day.-VNA
