Hoang Sa – Truong Sa exhibition comes to Hoa Binh

An exhibition displaying maps and documents on Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos opened in Kim Boi district, the northern province of Hoa Binh on May 8.

Hoa Binh (VNA) – Anexhibition displaying maps and documents on Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) andTruong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos opened in Kim Boi district, the northernprovince of Hoa Binh on May 8.

On display are 171 documents and items collected athome and abroad, including China, proving Vietnam’s scared sovereignty over thetwo archipelagos in the East Sea.

They show that the Vietnamese states managed, protected and affirmedsovereignty over the two archipelagos continuously and peacefully overcenturies.

Among the exhibits are three atlases published bythe Chinese Government in 1917, 1919 and 1933, and another atlas the LondonPropagation Mission printed for the Qing Dynasty in 1908.
 
The event also introduced documents in Han andNom (Chinese characters and ancient Vietnamese scripts), documents in foreignlanguages, materials, photos, items, 19 official documents by the NguyenDynasty and 23 ancient documents, affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the twoarchipelagos and other sea areas and islands in the East Sea. 

The five-day exhibition is expected to help raiseawareness and responsibility among local authorities and residents insafeguarding the country’s sacred sovereignty over seas and islands.-VNA

According to the MAE, as of November 15, a total of 79,360 fishing vessels nationwide had been registered and updated in the national fisheries database (VNFishbase), reaching 100%. The number of licensed vessels stands at 76,811. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang underlined NDN’s long-standing and close attachment to Vietnam, noting that it was among the first foreign media organisations to establish a resident office in the country. Soil and rocks from the uphill slope spilled onto the road surface, striking a coach carrying 32 people, including 29 passengers, two drivers and one coach assistant. At least six people were killed, while 19 others were injured and have been taken to the Khanh Hoa General Hospital for treatment.
